General:
We have already reviewed the site OnlyTease.com and it scored extremely highly. The guys have obviously tried to capitalize on this success and have decided to make a few solo girl sites with their most popular girls. This is the first one that I have had a look at and am hoping that they have managed to carry across some of the good points from OnlyTease.com.
The site looks great with its metallic style blue colour scheme, even if it is a little on the boring side, it just seems to lack that creative zing that I like to see from my sites and does look a little like it has just been made up from a basic template. The navigation is provided by some easy to read and access text links along the top of the page. The homepage features the latest photo, video and diary content, which is just what you want to see when first hitting a site.
The support looked pretty basic on first inspection but as I started clicking a few of the links it was actually fairly in depth. Plus the fact that there is a forum with a support section means that you probably aren’t going to get stuck on too many issues with OnlyMelanie.com.
Content:
Well I am guessing the only thing you are interested in is whether or not Melanie is fit and, considering the site is called Only Melanie, she bloody well better be. Well I am pleased to tell you that she is actually gorgeous and even Matt in the office, who is renowned for being fussy when it comes to the ladies, wheeled his way over to have a closer look.
Originating from a site called Only Tease this site isn’t exactly going to be a hardcore dildo fest. The content is verging on the glamour photography side and I think they are working on the ethos that less is more. For some people, me included, this can actually be more sexy than a picture of a woman spreading her nether regions and leaves a lot more to your, I am sure wild, imagination. There are few and far between shoots of girl on girl stuff and they keep along the same softcore side of things, and in fact when I did a search for girl on girl content there where only 4 sets for you to have a look at. So you had better be sure that Melanie does it for you before you decide to join up.
This site is also packed with extras to keep you interested; there is a members’ forum, which I always love to see on solo sites. I mean what is the point in having all of these people that have a common interest and then not letting them share their thoughts? Melanie even seems to post on the message boards fairly often so this site has got it just right. Oh and the fact that by contributing to the message boards you are entered into a draw for winning a share of £1,000,000, means that they should always be fairly active.
There is another section that is just a given on solo sites, which is the diary. The diary on this site is kept fairly up to date but I have to say the entries weren’t the most lengthy ones I have ever seen. I also would like to see them linking to the sets that she talks about in her posts rather than having to go off and find them yourselves.
This site has a fairly rare, but excellent, option to customize your browsing experience to your wants and needs. You are given options such as how you view an image and also what your default size for the photos is going to be. This is a great little section and I expect to be seeing it a lot more of this sort of thing on other sites in the future.
There is also a search tool which was a little on the too basic side for me and was simply a drop down tool that allows you to select a category and then it gives you all of the content that is relevant to that selection. But the good thing with this is that when browsing content it brings up all of the categories involved as text links and you can then click these to view other content that entails this kind of action or theme.
Video Section:
The videos are organized by month and this works well, allowing you to jump into the latest content. The videos come with two options for download, these are either Low Quality .Avi (208 x 160) or High Quality .Avi (640 x 480). Don’t even bother with the low quality as it is like watching Melanie perform on the cover of a matchbox and the only way it will tease you is the fact that you just can’t see what the hell is happening. On the other hand the High Quality video is not too bad and you can go full screen without too much distortion. As always though I would like to see more and I think they should just scrap the low quality and introduce a super resolution high def version and set the current high quality as the low quality version (this is, by the way, probably a rather unrealistic request, but hey we can dream).
Unfortunately the videos are not updated nearly as often as I would have liked to have seen and, going back through the months, I could see that they only add on average 5 videos a month. This really isn’t too great at all and a regular twice weekly video update is really the minimum that I accept with all of the other solo sites vying for your cash.
Photo Section:
The large photo resolution (1360 x 2048) was superb and I really could not ask for much more but, yeah you knew there would be a but, a lot of the photos did seem slightly on the blurry side and just weren’t as sharp and crisp as I am used to seeing. It almost seemed as if they just needed to give the camera lens a good old wipe.
They have kindly provided you with some photo navigation and even if it is just basic text links they do the job perfectly well. The photos do seem to be updated a little more often than the videos and, from what I could see, you can expect around 10 photo sets a month, which isn’t terrible but as always I want more, and would want to see almost double this to really blow me away.
